Give Your Health Coach Website a Quick Makeover With These 8 Easy Updates

If you have a health coach website, and you haven’t updated it in a while, it’s probably (long overdue) for a website refresh (no need for a total website redesign, at least not yet). A website makeover is very important to ensure your branding, content, services, products, and more are fresh and up-to-date whenever a potential client visits your website!

A website refresh can make a significant difference between a prospective client opting into your lead magnet (increased email list conversions) or choosing to work with you as their health coach (more revenue for your business!). These 9 updates are super simple and quick because I know you’re super busy over there creating content and growing your health coaching practice. Let’s get to it!

1. Refresh Branding

As your brand evolves, so should your website because it’s a reflection of your brand. Your branding can be the very thing that makes you stand out in the crowded, digital health and wellness space. Simply refreshing your color palette and fonts can make all the difference in improving brand recognition. If you want to go the extra mile, add new visual elements that align with your brand, like images and videos. These elements can help make your content more engaging and appealing to website visitors.

2. Update Content

If you’ve recently launched a new product or service, partnered with one of your favorite wellness brands to promote their products, or want to get back to writing new articles for your (outdated) blog, this is the perfect time to update your website content. This could involve adding new blog posts, updating your services and products, or refreshing your resources and about pages. Overall, ensure your content is current, accurate, and engaging to attract your niche audience.

3. Add New Features

Have a new blog or podcast you want to promote? Add it to your website! This could also include adding interactive elements such as new written reviews and testimonials from health coaching clients. Add cool transitions for an added visual appeal. This can provide additional value to website visitors and position you as a reputable, trustworthy health coach in your unique niche.

4. Optimize for SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Improve your website’s search engine rankings by optimizing your content for SEO. Search engines favor websites that are regularly updated and optimized. You can add new keywords that are relevant to your niche audience. If you have a blog that you regularly update, that’s a great way to optimize for SEO and have your blog posts rank well on Google search. This can lead to more traffic, more lead magnet opt-ins, and more potential health coaching clients (yay!). Keep in mind that SEO is a long-term strategy that will take time (a couple of months or more), but it will be so worth it once your website and content are ranking well on Google!

5. Update Call-to-Action (CTA)

Improve your conversion rates by updating your call-to-action (CTA) and making it more compelling. You could refresh your website CTA copywriting, simplify your contact forms, add social proof (testimonials), or offer a free, valuable resource (lead magnet) in exchange for a visitor’s contact information. Ensure that you have at least one CTA, that aligns with your most important health coaching business goals, on your website pages.

6. Improve User Experience (UX)

Make your website more user-friendly by simplifying your navigation (it’s best not to have too many menu options), improving your site speed (compressing your images is a great start), or adding a search function (especially helpful if you have a large blog with lots of articles). Creating a wonderful user experience means potential clients will want to stay on your website and learn more about you and your products and services (which can, over time, lead to new health coaching clients!)

7. Add a Social Media Integration

Grow your social media presence by adding social media buttons or feeds to the footer of your website. This can help increase engagement and encourage visitors to follow you on social media. It’s also a great way for prospective clients to learn more about you (your hobbies and interests) and connect with you on a deeper level.

8. Update the Header and Footer

Refresh your website’s look by updating your header or footer. This could involve adding new navigation options, adding an announcement bar to promote your new service, blog, or podcast, adding your social media icons, or updating your website’s footer legal pages.

As you can see from this list, a website makeover for your health coaching website can be quick and easy! Hopefully, one (or a few) of these website updates will be helpful for your website refresh!
