Add These 7 Essential Elements to Your Health Coach Website Footer

Your website footer can be super beneficial for your health coach brand and business, but often, it can be overlooked. That doesn’t have to be the case if you add these 7 essential elements to your website footer!

A website footer is the last section a website visitor sees when browsing your wellness website. This provides you an opportunity to place important elements in this section of your website that align with your health coach business goals (such as growing your email list or social media following). If you’re building your website from scratch, or updating your website, add a few of these must-have footer elements to help reach your business goals.

1. Logo

Adding a branded logo to your website footer will create a consistent visual identity throughout your entire website and help you stand out. Normally logos are one of the first elements you see on the header of a website. Adding a logo to your footer will help to establish your wellness brand identity and bring brand consistency to your website. This is a great way to build trust with your audience. It’s also a great way to differentiate yourself from the crowded health and wellness space filled with other wellness service providers.

2. Tagline

A tagline is one sentence that sums up what your health coach brand and business is all about. Similarly to a logo, it helps to establish brand awareness and connects to your specific niche audience. What do you do? Who do you help and how? Example: Certified health coach helping corporate millennials go from burnt out to energized and balanced through personalized coaching. This is a very basic example, but hopefully, it gives you an idea of what your tagline can be.

3. Lead Magnet

Grow your email list by adding your lead magnet to your website footer. Before website visitors exit your website, this is a great opportunity to capture their emails if they didn’t opt into your freebie from other areas on your website. If you have no idea what a lead magnet is, or if you want to get some ideas on what lead magnet to create, read this article: Grow Your Health Coaching Business With These 7 Lead Magnet Ideas.

4. Contact Information

Add your contact information so prospective clients and brands can reach out to you. This can be your business email, phone number, and address if you have a brick-and-mortar health coaching practice. Having this important information available will make it super easy for your dream health coaching clients, and brands, to contact you. It also increases your brand and business credibility (prospective clients want to know you’re running a legit business!).

5. Social Media Icons

Grow your social media accounts, and expand your wellness brand, by adding linked social media icons to your website footer. This makes it easy for potential clients to find your brand on social media which can improve your social media engagement (follows, likes, comments, shares, etc). It’s best to add the social media channels you’re most active on because you don’t want to clutter your website footer with a bunch of different social media icons and overwhelm website visitors.

6. Sitemap

A sitemap outlines the pages on your website and makes it easy for website visitors to navigate your site to get to the web pages they want to view. It can also help search engines understand the relevance of each webpage. This can improve your health coaching website’s search engine ranking (which can lead to more website traffic and potential health coaching clients!).

When creating your sitemap, add all your most important website pages with a hierarchical structure. Example: Home, About, Work With Me, Blog, Contact, Resources, Events, FAQ, etc. If you have a website that houses a lot of information and content, you can also create sitemap categories (Main, Content, Explore, Legal, etc).

7. Legal Pages

As a certified health coach, it’s essential to have the proper website legal pages (Medical Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, etc). It’s best to reach out to a reputable business lawyer to help with this or purchase legal website templates online from a reputable business lawyer in your specific country or region.
